The Otter Trust
The Otter Trust used to have three sanctuaries, in Suffolk, Cornwall and Durham. Here they pursued a very successful captive breeding and release programme for Eurasian otters, which really helped the species on the road to recovery across England. Indeed, otters are doing so well now that captive breeding is no longer needed and so the Trust has closed its sanctuaries (though the Cornish one is still an otter sanctuary, see below). Good news, although they were all lovely places to visit.
